Why Monsi and Basti?

If you haven’t found the answer yet on our website, we want to give you one more argument: Photography is mostly customer service, which means it is not only taking pictures, but creating the product together with the costumer, that he really needs. Therefor Monsi and Basti are experts from their previous works. Both worked for different companies and were responsible for the satisfaction of the client, may it be individual persons or big companies. They will listen to your needs and develop your ideas with you.

Why should I pay for a professional, if I have my own camera?

Sure, we live in a time and world, where and when everybody can be photographer, since camera equipment and editing hard- and software became very affordable, just a regular smartphone has already everything included. But does it really help and adivse you, how to develop your stories and ideas and create your product? We understand our work not just as photographer, but more like media designers, that will work closely together with you as our client. Also artificial intelligence (AI) cannot be the key to a good product, if you don’t know how to use it.

Is it worth spending money for a professional photographer/ videographer?

Let’s talk about one simple example: Suppose it is your wedding and you need to split your budget between the food for the party and a photographer. Sure your guests should have an unforgetable night and enjoy, but the food will be flushed down the toilet at least the next morning. But some days later you will receive the photos and/ or the video from us and you can always remember the good time with all emotions that you had on that day and this will last forever. And if you think a photographer is very expensive, let us tell you that he is actually not: let’s say you spend 1,000€ for a photographer, who will keep your memories of your special day for your lifetime, so that you can remember your first kiss or first dance as husband and wife every day. Let’s say you still have 50 years to live, which will be more than 18,000 days, the costs for your memories will be about 0.05€ per day. Are you willing to spend at least this amount every day to remember you wedding?

How many photos will I receive/ how long will be my video?

Our motto is quality and not quantity that would come in hand with loss of quality. It‘s hard to estimate a specific amount of photos that a shooting will deliver, because every shooting is different and depends of so many factors. For example if we need to change locations or different setups of clothing, makeup or props, it will always cost time and reduce the amount of photos. But we will give you as many photos, that you will be happy with, as possible. If you need a certain amount of photos, please let us arrange that before the shooting. The lenght of a video is very variable, depending on the material that we shot. It first depends on how and where you want to use or present it. Let’s find out together, what works best for you.

Do I have to pay for a first call or meeting?

No, we are not loyers, so we don‘t charge you for a consultation, neither by phone/ videocall or meeting in person. Actually we would appreciate to get in touch with you before the shooting as soon as possible and talk with you about your ideas and wishes and our serives, that we provide. Further on, we would arrange a contract together, with that we both agree the conditions.

Do I have to pay the full amount before the shooting?

You will not need to pay the full amount before the shooting, you would usually do the final payment until you received your photos or video. But to be fair, we might require around 50% payment up front.

Can I book a package for certain hours and use the hours seperately during the day or on different days?

As soon as we start our job, the clock is running. Unfortunately, if you want to book another day of shooting, we also have to charge another package. It is not common to split the hours during the day or between different days. So if our shooting starts at  10:00 am and we finish at 4:00 pm, it would be a package of at least six hours, no matter if there is a long break in between or not. Please keep that in mind, also to be fair to us, since we reserve all our time during the booked date for you, so it would not be possible for us, to serve another client in the meantime. Also please be aware, that we might charge you costs for travelling time, in the case that the shooting location will not be close to our home location. 

Why are the costs per hour so high?

When you book a certain package with us, it does not only include our salary for the actual shooting time. Please keep in mind, that every shooting comes with its valuable time of pre and post production. In our case we invest a lot of time on editing the photos and videos, which takes much more time than the shooting itself. Also we like to discuss the shooting or event with you before and take our time to prepare everything for a good result and we try to include the traveling costs to your destination, as long as it is within our working area. Also we have a lot of costs to cover ourselves, that you may not see (which is not only the expensive equiment, that we use). Overall we try to offer you fair prices that, will make us all happy.
